@johna6767 讀到這個真的覺得很不尋常，因為我住的地方寒鴉（jackdaws）超常見。對我來說，牠們大概是僅次於鴿子（doves）和海鷗（gulls）的前三常見鳥類。

@johna6767 it feels so unusual to read this, since i live in an area where jackdaws are so common. It's like a top 3 most common bird for me after doves and gulls.

我想大概有 4 到 5 隻幼獸（kits）吧？我們以前每晚都會在牆上看到牠們，常常一次 2、3 隻，後來就都沒了——幼獸（kits）確實會在冬天分散（disperse in winter），所以我們原本以為只是這樣；但之後就再也沒有任何目擊（sightings）了。

about 4 or 5 kits I think? and we'd see them every night on the wall, 2 and 3 at a time, then nothing - the kits do disperse in winter so we assumed that'd happened but then, no more sightings at all

謝謝你進來聊，@avj4399。我自己也是從農地／鄉下來的（coming off the land），很清楚老鼠（rats）會怎麼繁殖、造成禍害（multiply and plague）。我爸、我的狐㹴（fox terrier）和我以前都會去雞舍（chook shed）對付牠們。

同樣很有意思（interesting），🤔 我從看 REF 的影片知道牠們其實挺好鬥（fisty / feisty）；事實上，剛剛引發這段對話的影片，拍到紅隼雛鳥（kestrel chick）和一隻白鼬（stoat）面對面相遇。

影片品質（quality of the video）很有意思，前面的那些很有手作感（home made），到大約中段那支才開始看得出比較專業（professionally）的味道；一直到現在，所有影片都已經很精緻（polished）了。

The quality of the video is intresting, the early ones are very home made, that one that is around the halfway mark starts to show some professionally up untill now where all the videos are polished

更讓人混淆的是，預播（prestream）的 Fotherdale 紅隼（kestrels）都叫 Mr 和 Mrs Kes……剛剛那位是 Mrs Kes #3。我們在直播裡看到的那對 Mr 和 Mrs，則是 Mr #2 和 Mrs #4。😅

confusingly enough, the prestream Fotherdale kestrels are all called Mr and Mrs Kes... that was Mrs Kes #3. The Mr and mrs we watched onstream were Mr #2 and Mrs #4 😅
