我已故的丈夫（late husband）曾當過一陣子的屠夫（butcher），是他在很久以前告訴我的。這有點像是看著一隻活羊（live lamb），卻把牠的某個部位叫作 chops 一樣。

My late husband worked as a butcher for a while and it was him that told me, a lifetime ago. It's a bit like looking at a live lamb and referring to part of it as a chop.

I'm glad you said that BoosPhotos-b1t , I argued that with a moderator! It may not be wrong but the term squab comes from the butchery trade (and means loose, fat flesh) and not a nice term to use.

Indeed Remy - won't have done the poor dove's BP any good either. My squirrels here are total thugs - they'd have beaten the dove up just for sport. Thankfully, these have better manners.
